Mercedes names new U.S. sales GM in management shuffle

Bart Herring becomes Mercedes-Benz USA’s general manager of sales operations.

ATLANTA — Mercedes-Benz USA is shuffling some senior managers to new jobs, the company said Wednesday.

Bart Herring becomes general manager of sales operations, overseeing the development and implementation of all policies, programs and activities in support of new-vehicle sales and objectives. Herring also will head up sales volume planning. He reports to Adam Chamberlain, who became Mercedes-Benz USA vice president of sales in April.

Herring had been general manager of product management. He was named an Automotive News Rising Star in 2015. His replacement in the product role was not named.

Herring replaces Mike Nolte in the sales role. Nolte, who at one time was CEO of Mercedes-Benz Egypt, becomes regional general manager for the central region in Chicago.

In other changes:

• Matt Everitt becomes general manager and general counsel. He had been general counsel for both Mercedes-Benz U.S. International Inc., the company’s U.S. manufacturing arm, and Mercedes-Benz Vans Manufacturing, the company’s commercial-van unit. He replaces Marco DeSanto, who left the company to pursue other interests.

• Bob Yeatman becomes regional general manager for the northeast region. He had the same role for the western region. He replaces Andy Gillman, who also left the company to pursue other interests.

• Tracey Matura becomes regional general manager for the western region. She had had the same role for the central region.

All changes are effective immediately.
