It may be a 2010 model, but this Ford Motor Company [NYSE:F] Mustang Shelby GT500 with just 21 miles on the clock is still a barn find in our book. It was bought and tucked away in a barn for the past several years but came up for sale recently after its original owner passed away.
Zolland Design retro conversion for the fifth-generation Mercedes-Benz SL
Swedish design skunk works Zolland Design this week unveiled a retro conversion for the fifth-generation Mercedes-Benz SL. The conversion turns the car into something resembling the popular “Pagoda” SL of the 1960s. The design was commissioned by a client in Poland who plans to convert a 2009 SL63 AMG.
1967 Chevrolet Camaro chassis number 100001 – The first Camaro ever built
The very first Chevrolet Camaro, a pilot production unit bearing chassis number 100001, rolled off the line at General Motors Company’s [NYSE:GM] Norwood plant on May 21, 1966. This week we published some facts you probably didn’t know about the car.
Another Camaro we reported on this week was the first NHRA Funny Car based on the sixth-generation model. It was unveiled by drag legend John Force and daughters Brittany and Courtney.

Mercedes-Benz’s G-Class was originally conceived with military use in mind, however, most of the SUVs built today are luxury-oriented models. That isn’t the case for the rugged Light Armored Patrol Vehicle version, the latest of which was spied in prototype form this week.
This week we learned about the story of Matt Hummel and his fascination with the Porsche 356. Hummel isn’t your typical classic Porsche fan. Instead of fully restoring his cars and driving them sparingly, keeping them locked away in temperature-controlled environments the rest of the time, he’s out enjoying them almost every day, even heading off road when he feels like.
Volvo previewed its next-generation compact range, the “40” series, with a pair of concepts. The concepts include an SUV and a sedan and are said to closely resemble the production models they preview. The first of the production models will be an XC40 SUV launching in 2017.
This week we took a spin in Rolls-Royce’s Dawn convertible. It’s soon to be the only convertible in the British marque’s lineup but fortunately it’s the type of car that’s extremely hard to fault. This is one tester that’s sorely missed.
