A new generation of the BMW 5-Series has just landed but we’re still waiting on high-performance models like the M5 and Alpina B5. We have some new spy shots of the latter, taken while the car was testing at the Nürburgring.

A company based in Maryland is working on an electric Corvette. A prototype has already been clocked at over 200 mph, which is a land speed record for a street-legal electric car.

Audi’s new Q7 may be big but it’s also light. So light, in fact, that a new inline-4 option is quicker than the outgoing Q7’s V-6.

You’ll find all these stories and more in today’s car news, right here at Motor Authority.
