Mini is returning to the Super Bowl ad game after a five-year hiatus.
The small-car brand’s commercial is slated to run in the third quarter of Super Bowl 50. It will be Mini’s second Super Bowl ad.
The 30-second spot will feature several vehicles such as the Mini Clubman Wagon. The brand’s 2011 spot, titled “Cram it in the Boot,” highlighted the Countryman’s cargo space in a faux game show.
A spokeswoman told Advertising Age that Mini will be the only BMW brand running a spot. Last year, BMW ran an ad for the electric i3 hatchback starring Katie Couric and Bryant Gumbel that premiered on “Today” several days before the game.
Mini is the fifth automaker to confirm its Super Bowl presence, joining Honda, Hyundai, Acura and Kia.
