Teaser of the forthcoming Rezvani Motors Beast Alpha
In the fall of 2015, we got the chance to jump behind the wheel of a coachbuilt car called the Beast. It’s produced by a California company named Rezvani Motors, which bears the name of its founder Ferris Rezvani. His first Beast packed 500 horsepower and seemed to be an absolute monster. The version we drove was the roofless Spider, with just 300 horsepower on tap. It was plenty fast, though, as the car is a featherweight. Now there’s an even more insane Beast on the horizon and it’s called the Beast Alpha.
Rezvani is teasing the Alpha, which is set to be revealed just ahead of the Los Angeles Auto Show. Back when we spoke with Ferris before driving the Beast, he mentioned that he wanted to create a 700-horsepower car called the Beast X. Perhaps this could be the evolution of that discussion.
In the teaser shot, you can see that it should share the same styling as the “standard” Beast. We have no clue what will power the Alpha, however, but we do know that the regular car utilizes a K24 engine plucked from a Honda. It’s a 4-cylinder engine paired with a Rotrex supercharger, and it is a potent enough setup to make the Beast dash from 0-60 miles per hour in just 3.5 seconds.
Now imagine that chassis working with 700 horsepower.
