Jerry Seinfeld’s hit web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee will return to the Internet in just two weeks with a star-studded guest list.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the new season will feature heavyweights including Lorne Michaels, John Oliver, Margaret Cho, Jim Gaffigan, Judd Apatow, and JB Smoove as passengers or drivers in whatever car Jerry chooses to take to a coffee shop.
For the most part, the series has been based in Southern California or the New York City area, although it has traveled to Portland, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., for some guests.
What isn’t yet known, however (and is arguably more important), is just what vehicles will make an appearance. The series premiered back in the summer of 2012 with Larry David and a Volkswagen Beetle. Vehicular and comedian highlights have included David Letterman’s V-8-powered Volvo 960, Fred Armisen and a 1965 Saab 96 Monte Carlo 850, Amy Schumer and a Ferrari [NYSE:RACE] Daytona, and, of course, President Barack Obama and a Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.
One of the new episodes is expected to include a candy green Volkswagen Bus that was borrowed from the Manhattan Motor Club, but the other vehicles set to be included are unknown so far. You’ll find the episodes at www.comediansincarsgettingcoffee.com.
